## Get Up and Running in Four Steps

From purchase to a fully secured wallet, the process takes around 15 minutes. Follow these steps in order to ensure your device is set up correctly and your funds are protected from the start.

    Open your browser and navigate to [trezor.io/start](https://trezor.io/start). This is the official starting point for all new Trezor devices — it detects your device model and walks you through the correct setup flow.

    Download and install Trezor Suite, the official companion application for your Trezor device. Trezor Suite is available as a desktop app for Windows, macOS, and Linux, as well as a browser-based web app.

    Follow the on-screen instructions in Trezor Suite to initialize your device. You will set a PIN to protect physical access to the device and generate a new wallet unique to you.

    When prompted, carefully write down your 12- or 24-word recovery seed phrase on the included recovery card. Store it somewhere safe and private — this phrase is the only way to restore your wallet if your device is lost or damaged.
