Get Up and Running in Four Steps

From purchase to a fully secured wallet, the process takes around 15 minutes. Follow these steps in order to ensure your device is set up correctly and your funds are protected from the start.

Visit trezor.io/start

Open your browser and navigate to trezor.io/start. This is the official starting point for all new Trezor devices — it detects your device model and walks you through the correct setup flow.

Install Trezor Suite

Download and install Trezor Suite, the official companion application for your Trezor device. Trezor Suite is available as a desktop app for Windows, macOS, and Linux, as well as a browser-based web app.

Create your wallet

Follow the on-screen instructions in Trezor Suite to initialize your device. You will set a PIN to protect physical access to the device and generate a new wallet unique to you.

Back up your seed phrase

When prompted, carefully write down your 12- or 24-word recovery seed phrase on the included recovery card. Store it somewhere safe and private — this phrase is the only way to restore your wallet if your device is lost or damaged.
Always purchase Trezor devices from the official trezor.io/shop or an authorized reseller listed on the official website. Counterfeit and tampered devices pose a serious security risk — they may be pre-configured to steal your funds or expose your private keys. Avoid purchasing from unauthorized third-party sellers on marketplaces like eBay or Amazon.
