Enable a New Coin
To start using a cryptocurrency that is not yet visible in your sidebar, enable it in Trezor Suite settings first.1
Open Settings
In Trezor Suite, click the Settings icon in the bottom-left corner of the application.
2
Go to the Coins tab
Select the Coins tab at the top of the Settings page. You will see a list of all coins Trezor Suite supports, grouped by network type.
3
Toggle on the desired coin
Find the coin you want to enable and click the toggle next to its name to turn it on.
4
Confirm in the sidebar
Return to the main dashboard. The newly enabled coin now appears in the left sidebar, ready for you to add an account and start receiving funds.
Add ERC-20 Tokens
ERC-20 tokens run on the Ethereum network and are managed directly inside your Ethereum account — no separate account or sidebar entry is needed.1
Open your Ethereum account
Click your Ethereum account in the left sidebar of Trezor Suite.
2
Click Add Token
On the account overview page, click the Add Token button, typically found in the token section below your ETH balance.
3
Search for the token
Type the token’s name or paste its contract address into the search field. Trezor Suite will display matching results from its built-in token list.
4
Confirm the addition
Select the correct token from the results and confirm. The token balance now appears within your Ethereum account alongside your ETH balance.
ERC-20 tokens are managed within your Ethereum account. They do not require a separate account — all tokens share your single Ethereum address and are visible together on the account overview page.
Custom Tokens
If a token does not appear in Trezor Suite’s default search results, you can still add it manually using its contract address. Paste the full contract address into the token search field instead of a name. Trezor Suite will retrieve the token details — symbol, decimals, and current balance — directly from the network. Always verify the contract address from an authoritative source (such as the project’s official website or a reputable block explorer) before adding a custom token.Supported Networks
Beyond Ethereum, Trezor also supports tokens on other EVM-compatible chains, including Polygon and BNB Smart Chain. To use these networks, enable the relevant chain in Settings → Coins, then add an account for it. Token management on these chains works the same way as on Ethereum — you add tokens within the corresponding network account rather than creating separate entries for each token. Custom network settings in Trezor Suite allow you to configure RPC endpoints for additional EVM chains not enabled by default. What if my coin isn't listed?
What if my coin isn't listed?
Check trezor.io/coins for the most up-to-date list of supported assets and their device compatibility. If your coin is not listed there, it may be available through community coin support or a third-party wallet that integrates with Trezor — such as MetaMask for EVM tokens or Exodus for a broader range of assets. Trezor cannot add support for a coin unilaterally; it typically requires collaboration with the coin’s development team.
Can I use MetaMask with Trezor?
Can I use MetaMask with Trezor?
Yes. Trezor integrates with MetaMask as a hardware signer, allowing you to confirm Ethereum transactions and token interactions on your Trezor device while using the MetaMask interface in your browser. To set this up, connect your Trezor in MetaMask by selecting Connect Hardware Wallet from the MetaMask account menu and following the on-screen steps. Your private keys remain on the device at all times.
